Bio
My name is Dalton Warden, and I’m an artist rooted in Southeast Michigan. I grew up on a farm in Ortonville, where I first picked up a pencil and started drawing. Early on, I found creative fuel in both private lessons and the standard public school art classes, eventually leading me to study at Northern Michigan University's School of Art and Design in Marquette.
In my twenties, I split my time between Detroit and Miami—two cities with wildly different energies, each leaving its mark on how I see and interpret the world. Today, I live in a quiet town in Michigan’s thumb region with my wife, Sadie, and our daughter, Delilah.
The range of places I’ve called home continues to shape my work. I’m drawn to the beauty in decaying old buildings, raw and unfiltered portraits, and the strong survivalist nature of plants and animals. I aim to capture what’s overlooked, what’s imperfect, and what feels real.
"Right from the beginning, I always strived to capture everything I saw as completely as possible."
